Logo reseach
Because I want to design almost an identity for the DVD interface, I wanted to look into some sort of futuristic logo designs out of my dos logos book, so here is the sort of thing I've been looking at for some inspiration.
I was trying to visualise these logos moving on screen, and these in my opinion would be really sweet as moving image, I want to design something similar.

Urban Assault
The movement of this motion graphic and its jerky, kinda of strange sound and image relationship is really nice and is how i want my idents to end up, vector traced imagery moving around ina jerky and almost violent fashion.
Design Direction: Dstrukt studio
Dstrukt studio are a motion graphics studio who produce motion graphic reels for corporations like mtv and bionic unit, these are visual aspects I want to work along the same lines as. Some of these little idents styles would be really good in a hi tech or sci fi style.

Ideas
So im just gathering ideas for some visual referance later, This is the title sequence to Eurotrip. Its sleek and has a flight instructions feel, merges motion graphic with character animation. It's done by Six Point Harness, Same guy who did The end credits for Black Dynamite and the foster home for imaginary friends tv show. Nice!
A good one
This motion graphic is really good becuase the type is working in pretty much perfect unison with the sound - the designer that produced this clearly spent hours tweening and refining speed od text in conjunction with the audio. I can imagine some serious storyboarding was done beforehand!
Meet Fred
Found this, thought it was good, Im pretty sure this was done on After Effects,stop motion along with a bit of video footage. I like the overall look this video has and might be worth considering when it comes to my own videos.
